Great British sprinter Adam Gemili has admitted that he cannot wait to face the likes of Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell at the Olympic Games in London.
The 18-year-old was named as part of the British squad to compete at the Games yesterday afternoon.
Despite being due to come up against the best sprinters in the world, Gemili believes that he is capable of competing on the biggest stage of them all.
"I feel privileged that I've earned a place and I will be lining up against the likes of Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell, potentially anything can happen in that race and it feels really good," he said.
"I will be running against the best guys in the world and hopefully I'll run the times they run, and maybe even better it. Just to be there on the day will be amazing."
Gemili was previously a trainee footballer with Chelsea.
