Kemar Bailey-Cole of Jamaica backed up his Commonwealth gold medal by claiming victory in the men's 100m at this afternoon's Diamond League meet in Birmingham.
The 22-year-old, who pipped Great Britain's Adam Gemili to gold in Glasgow last month, won in 10.08s, finishing five-hundredths of a second ahead of compatriot Nesta Carter.
"I'm very happy with that – it's my first race coming back after the Commonwealths. I'm happy with the win but I'm still aiming to go under 10 seconds," Bailey-Cole told reporters.
The British duo of Chijindu Ujah and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey were fourth and sixth respectively.
