Defending champion Usain Bolt advanced through to the semi-finals of the men's 100m with victory in heat four at the Olympic Stadium this afternoon.
The Jamaican sprinter got off to an average start, but moved through the field as the race progressed.
He then proceeded to ease up in the closing stages, recording a time of 10.09s in the process.
Britain's James Dasaolu also moved into the next round thanks to his best run of the season, which allowed him to finish third.
Daniel Bailey of Antigua and Barbuda took the runners-up spot.
