International Amateur Athletics Federation president Lamine Diack has said that Usain Bolt can run a 9.4-second time at the London Olympics given the right conditions on the night.
Diack said he thinks that if Bolt is in the right shape he can smash his current world record of 9.69s on a dry track, with under 9.5 a distinct possibility.
"Anything is possible. I think if Usain Bolt is in shape possibly we will see 9.40-something in the 100m," Diack said.
Former record-holder Maurice Greene recently tipped Bolt's Jamaican compatriot Yohan Blake for 100m gold, while sprint legend Michael Johnson agrees that Bolt can run under 9.5.
