Yohan Blake hamstring injury not as bad as first feared

Yohan Blake's manager reveals that the Jamaican sprinter did not suffer a fresh hamstring injury in Glasgow on Friday night.

Yohan Blake did not suffer a fresh hamstring injury at the Sainsbury's Glasgow Grand Prix on Friday night, his manager has revealed.

The Jamaican sprinter pulled up during the 100m in last night's event at Hampden Park before stumbling to the ground clutching his leg and leaving the stadium in a wheelchair.

"It seems to be initially cramp," said Blake's manager Cubie Seegobin. "The doctors here in Glasgow were excellent. They did an ultra-scan, and it showed no damage. Today, we will do a major scan and MRI to be certain and complete."

Blake, an Olympic silver medallist and former world champion, will not be racing at the upcoming Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
