Dayron Robles through to 110m hurdles final

Defending champion Dayron Robles secures his place in the final of the men's 110m hurdles.

Cuba's Dayron Robles booked his place in the final of the men's 110m hurdles at the Olympic Games by winning his semi-final this evening.

The defending champion, who has been struggling with injuries this season, hit a number of barriers before the midway point.

However, he managed to find his natural stride and eventually crossed the line in first place in a time of 13.10s.

Second place went to Jamaica's Hansle Parchment, who came through late to secure his slot in the final.
