Ukraine win tense team shoot-off against Spain to take men's team gold in Baku

Ukraine beat Spain in a shoot-off at the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium to take archery team gold at the inaugural European Games in Baku.

Ukraine have taken gold in the men's archery team event at Baku 2015 by beating Spain in a shoot-off.

The trio of Viktor Ruban, Markiyan Ivashko and Heorhiy Ivantskyy held their nerve to prevail 5-4, after initially being locked at four apiece at the end of the first four sets.

Spain's Miguel Alvarino Garcia, Antonio Fernandez and Juan Ignacio Rodriguez twice held a two-point lead, but in the end they had to settle for silver at the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium.

Bronze was won by the Netherlands, meanwhile, who defeated France in similar circumstances in a third-place shoot-off.
