Mike Shanahan: 'Alfred Morris is a lot more comfortable'

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan says that running back Alfred Morris is much more comfortable this season.

Mike Shanahan has said that Alfred Morris has been "a lot more comfortable" in his second season in the NFL.

The Washington Redskins running back, who recorded 1,613 rushing yards in his rookie season, has rushed for over 100 yards in his last two games and has five touchdowns this season.

The head coach told reporters: "He's a lot more comfortable. I think guys that go into the second year, they feel, not only have they gotten in great football shape but they know what to expect.

"I think it's a little bit easier on him to make reads and feel more comfortable with the system and what he's doing. He works extremely hard at it."

The Redskins face the Philadelphia Eagles later today.
