Washington Redskins wide receiver Josh Morgan is recovering from surgery to his right ankle and both hands.

Josh Morgan has said that he is recovering from surgery to both of his hands and his right ankle.

The Washington Redskins wide receiver has ligaments repaired in both hands, while also having a plate and seven screws removed from his ankle, which were in place to aid his recovery from a broken ankle sustained in 2011.

The 27-year-old told the Washington Post: "Basically, the whole year, I was playing with two torn ligaments in both hands. So they corrected that and got all that stuff straight.

"I expect to be a lot better. That's the whole reason of doing it right when the season was over, so I can rehab fully now.

"I'm just doing what they tell me to do. We're all just worried about the start of the season and nothing else."

Morgan is taking part in daily rehab sessions alongside quarterback Robert Griffin III, who is recovering from knee ligament surgery.
