Washington Redskins have confirmed that Robert Griffin III will not start against the Cleveland Browns today.
The rookie quarterback damaged his knee ligaments in the Redskins' win over the Baltimore Ravens last weekend.
After the announcement, RG3 tweeted: "The decision was not my own... But I will be there for my team!!! In every way I possibly can."
Backup Kirk Cousins will take the throwing duties for the team, who are pushing for a post-season playoff place.
