Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has spoken out about the NFL's scheduling next season, stating that players have concerns about Thursday Night Football.
The NFL has sought to schedule some games on a Thursday, as well as teams taking part in the traditional Sunday fixtures, with the midweek slot proving the most lucrative in terms of advertising deals.
"There are a lot of players out there who feel like there's not enough days in the week for us to be playing on Thursdays," said Griffin, according to the NFL's official website.
"It's something that the NFL is going to have to address to keep players safe while also trying to maximize revenue.
"At the same time, when we get those games on Sunday and Thursday, then we're off for an extended period of time."
The new NFL season gets underway in September.
