Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano has insisted that New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles can be stopped, despite calling him the "best thing in football at what he does".
Schiano's Buccaneers host the Saints on Sunday, who got off to a winning start over the Atlanta Falcons last weekend, against whom Sproles accounted for a game-high 88 yards receiving out of the backfield.
During his Friday press conference, Schiano hailed the New Orleans number 43, saying: "Darren is very dangerous – on screens and in the red zone. He's the most prolific scorer in the red zone, maybe, in the history of football, this guy.
"You're looking at a guy who is elite at what he does. They don't ask him to do everything, but what they ask him to do he's the best in the game at right now."
Asked if he had a plan to stop Sproles this weekend, Schiano said: "It's a challenge. But we've got good players too. We'll go cover him."
Sproles's best play last weekend was a 32-yard reception, which included 19 yards on the ground following the catch.
