Darrelle Revis has said that he has "nothing to prove" having been traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the weekend.
The Bucs gave up their first-round pick in this year's draft to acquire the cornerback, who is recovering from a knee ligament injury, from the New York Jets.
The 27-year-old told reporters: "I don't have nothing to prove to the New York Jets. I don't have nothing to prove to nobody. I know my expectations as a player, and that's that.
"People are going to sit here and say, 'How's he going to perform? How's he going to play? Is he going to be like he was before?' I understand all of that. I'm a hard worker. It's all on me. I'll give it my all.
"There's no better place to win than here in Tampa, it's a blessing how highly this organisation looks at me. It didn't happen in New York for certain reasons. There are a lot of reasons why not. But I'm here now, and I'm a Buc, and that's how it's going to be for the next six years."
The Buccaneers are due to play the Jets in the first week of the 2013 regular season.
