Isaac Bruce hails Chris Givens improvement

Former St Louis Rams wide receiver Isaac Bruce believes that Chris Givens has improved as a player during the off-season.

Former St Louis Rams wide receiver Isaac Bruce has praised the improvement that Chris Givens has made during the off-season.

Givens led the Rams receivers in receiving yards during his rookie season with the franchise last year, but only managed three touchdowns in his 15 games.

However, Bruce believes that the 23-year-old has become better since the season finished and, as a result, is now a more confident player.

"To me, he's not as herky jerky as he was last year," Bruce told reporters. "He's made up his mind on who he wants to be as a football player.

"He's a guy who can explode off the line of scrimmage. His transition from running the route to catching the football has gotten a whole lot better and his confidence is up."

Bruce, who played for the Rams for 13 years, is currently working with the side's young wide receivers in an advisory role.
