Pete Carroll: 'Earl Thomas is over injury'

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll insists that Earl Thomas is over the shoulder injury that he sustained in the NFC championship game and will be fit for the Super Bowl.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has insisted that Earl Thomas is no longer suffering from a shoulder injury ahead of the Super Bowl.

The 25-year-old sustained a reported dislocated shoulder in his side's NFC championship win over the Green Bay Packers, which forced him to the sideline for a period of the match.

However, Thomas has managed to return to practice after missing time earlier in the week and Carroll is adamant that the problem will not bother him for the Super Bowl.

"It's over," Carroll told reporters. "It's over, really. It was two days of him being very uncomfortable with the setting and it's over now. He was back in action and in full flow today."

The Seahawks face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX on February 1.
