Pete Carroll has said that he does not believe any amount of time could prepare a team to play in the Super Bowl.
Carroll's Seattle Seahawks have spent the last two weeks getting ready to face the Denver Broncos in today's game at the MetLife Stadium.
The head coach told reporters: "Don't think you could ever get a team ready if you started talking about it a week before, two weeks before.
"They do understand that this is a rare opportunity and that we have to handle this very well and find the humility so we can deal with it properly and play like we're capable.
"I'm really anxious to see how they handle game day when it comes around."
No member of the Seahawks' current roster has ever played in the Super Bowl before.
