Seattle Seahawks' Russell Wilson: "I'll be ready to go"

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is adamant that he will be fully prepared for the 2015 season despite his contract issues with the club.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has insisted that he will put his contract issues behind him for the start of the 2015 season.

The 26-year-old will enter the final year of his rookie deal with the NFC West side when the new campaign begins, and talks with the club have stalled during the off-season.

Wilson reportedly wants to be the highest-paid player in the NFL, but he is adamant that he is only focused on football rather than the financial details of his contract.

When asked how much money he thought he deserved, Wilson told ESPN: "I don't know. How much would you pay me?"

He added: "I think ultimately, it comes down to the play. Just let my play speak for itself. No matter if it's $25m or if it's $1.5m - I'll be ready to go."

Wilson outlined his desire to remain with the Seahawks for a "long time".
