Safety Kam Chancellor will remain with the Seattle Seahawks until after the 2017 NFL season after agreeing a four-year contract extension with the team.

Kam Chancellor has agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Seattle Seahawks.

The new deal, worth up to $28m (£18.4m), will keep the safety with the NFC West side until 2017.

The 25-year-old made 101 tackles for the Seahawks during the 2012 season, and recorded a forced fumble.

Chancellor was drafted by Seattle in 2010.
