Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll has praised Russell Wilson for his performance against the New Orleans Saints that saw the young quarterback throw 310 yards to give his side victory.
Wilson was the most impressive player on the field as his arm helped to push the Seahawks towards a 34-7 win, as they recorded their seventh straight scalp in the league.
"Russell Wilson had one heck of a game," Carroll said after the game.
"It showed in the huddle just his poise and his composure, the way he led us on the field was nice to see.
"Not that he doesn't do it every week, but it was a primetime game and he's still young so we were anticipating on him to do what he does best, and he definitely did that. He took it to the next level."
The dominant victory ensured that Carroll's men became the first side to qualify for the NFC playoffs this season.
