Pete Carroll has said that Zach Miller will play in the Seattle Seahawks' final pre-season game against the Oakland Raiders tonight.
The tight end missed the start of the NFC West side's training camp, but was taken off the team's physically unable to perform list last week.
The head coach told the Seahawks' website: "Zach's going to play. He's ready to go. It surprised us that he jumped back so well. We'll get him a little bit of playing time.
"Just get him on the field. He really would like to do that to get a little action before we start the season. So we're going to put him out there.
"He just looks so good. He's ready. There's no reason not to. He's full-go. He's practiced great and he's really tuned into it, too, so it's the right thing to do."
Carroll had initially hoped that Miller would be ready for the start of the regular season.
