Pete Carroll: Percy Harvin's "not ready to play this week"

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll reveals that wide receiver Percy Harvin is not fit enough to make his comeback from injury against the Atlanta Falcons.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has admitted that wide receiver Percy Harvin is not fit enough to feature for his side this Sunday.

The 25-year-old endured a setback during his side's practice two weeks ago after making his return from hip surgery he underwent in the off-season and will not be given the go-ahead to come back until next week.

"Percy is the best he's been," Carroll told ProFootballTalk.com. "He had another excellent day. He's not ready to play this week. He'll return to practice, hopefully, next week and we'll just go one day at a time then. All of the signs are really encouraging.

"He feels good. He's not having any issues after he works out the next day so I think we've built up enough days here to take a real good positive step.

"I don't know what that means in terms of playing next week but we're hoping he'll be able to get some extra work and really jump back into it."

The Seahawks face the Atlanta Falcons in their week 10 clash.
