Doug Baldwin signs new Seattle Seahawks deal

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin agrees to a new two-year deal with the franchise.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal with the club, extending his stay to the end of the 2016 season.

Baldwin became a restricted free agent in March, but the Seahawks have moved to retain him and the player said that there is a lot more to come from him in the NFL.

"Obviously I'm extremely blessed and fortunate to be in this situation," Baldwin told the Seahawks' official website.

"But at the same time, this is not the end of anything. To me, it's not really accomplishing anything. It just comes with the territory. My ultimate goal is to be in the Hall of Fame. So this is a stepping stone to get there."

Baldwin was drafted by the Seahawks in 2011.
