Frank Gore: Knowing contract is almost up is "weird"

San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore admits that it is "weird" to think that he is almost at the end of his contract with the team.

Frank Gore has admitted that it is "weird" knowing that he is coming to the end of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers.

The running back was drafted by the NFC West side in 2015 and has amassed over 10,000 rushing yards during his 10-season career, but has shared carries with rookie Carlos Hyde this season, leading to speculation that the 31-year-old will not be guaranteed a new deal with the team.

He told the San Francisco Chronicle: "I've been here 10 years, and it could be last two games here this year. It's weird knowing that I won't be under contract any more. But I've been in the league long enough to understand it's a business."

Gore has 804 rushing yards and three touchdowns this season.
