San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree has undergone successful surgery on a torn Achilles tendon in his right leg.
The 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said that he could not set a return date for the 25-year-old but did not expect him to be out for the rest of the season.
"Michael Crabtree underwent surgery to repair his Achilles tendon that he tore [on Tuesday]," ESPN quotes Harbaugh as saying.
"Surgery was successful and we do not anticipate it will be season-ending for Michael."
Crabtree has 3,345 career receptions at an average of 12.9.
