San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis admits that his side will have to battle to reach the Super Bowl by beating the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC championship game.

San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis believes that his side will have to tough it out to beat the Seattle Seahawks to reach the Super Bowl.

The 49ers and the Seahawks will meet for the third time this season in the NFC Championship game at CenturyLink Field after winning one game each in their head-to-head clashes this campaign.

"A battle. A brutal battle. It will be sparks, flames, you name it," Davis told NFL Network.

"It's going to be tough, and we know that. We have to go back to Santa Clara, look at film and correct some of the things that we need to correct from our last match."

The 49ers have reached the championship game for the third season in a row.
