New San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin has admitted that he is looking forward to working with quarterback Colin Kaepernick next season.
Boldin was traded from Super Bowl champions Baltimore Ravens to the side they defeated the 49ers earlier in the month.
While he initially said that he was "shocked" by the decision, Boldin has now made sure to speak to his new QB ahead of the new season.
"[Creating an understanding is] very important for a quarterback and receiver ... it doesn't just happen overnight," NFL.com quotes Boldin as saying.
"Whenever you see a quarterback and receiver on the same page that means they've spent time together.
"I'm excited to get to work with him. A special kid, smart guy, very athletic. For me, hopefully I can help him grow as a quarterback."
Boldin scored the opening touchdown at Super Bowl XLVII.
