San Diego Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett has revealed that he wants to help the club push on next season after being selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
The 22-year-old was selected with the 25th pick out of TCU and is now determined to bring a physical style of play to Mike McCoy's side despite being only 5'9".
He told the club's official website: "I'm not the biggest guy out there so I have to show the competitor in me and my physicality.
"I showed that on the game film and I'm ready to get to San Diego, get things rolling and learn from the coaches and teammates. I want to get us to the next level."
Verrett recorded 160 tackles, one sack and nine interceptions in his three years at TCU.
