San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has admitted that he was far from his best in his side's defeat to the New England Patriots.
The Chargers' offense was held to just seven points as Mike McCoy's side's defense chipped in with their second touchdown to guide them to 14 points on the night.
Rivers has conceded that his performance, more than most, was the reason for their loss at Qualcomm Stadium.
"Shoot - we're all accountable," Rivers told reporters. "All of us - the whole offense. And our offense tonight scored seven points.
"I think the first thing you look at is the quarterback, and I can stand here and say I didn't play up to par. That's probably pretty clear watching it."
The Chargers are 8-5 in their season, but still hold the number six seed in the AFC playoff race.
