Malcom Floyd strains right knee in practice

San Diego Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd suffers a strained knee in practice on Monday.

San Diego Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd has suffered a strained knee during a training session.

The injury happened in a collision with cornerback Shareece Wright and, although the severity is as yet unknown, it is not thought to be as serious as first feared.

Coach Mike McCoy refused to divulge how long 31-year-old will be sidelined for, merely confirming that he had suffered an injury.

"I'm not going to get into all the little details of that," McCoy told reporters.

"He went down. I'm not going to put it on any player or anything like that. He went down."

Floyd has been at the Chargers since 2004 having signed as an undrafted free agent.
