Ben Roethlisberger "angry" at defeat

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger reveals that his side are "angry and disappointed" following their heavy defeat to the New England Patriots.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has described his side as "angry and disappointed" following their 55-31 defeat to the New England Patriots last night.

The Steelers conceded an all-time franchise high amount of points and yards (610) during the match, allowing Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to throw 23 of 33 for 432 yards and four touchdowns.

Roethlisberger admitted that his side gave Brady too many chances to play as well as expressing his unhappiness at being on the receiving end of the biggest score in the league so far this season.

"We're all angry and disappointed. [Brady] is good, so you know that your mistakes have to be limited," Roethlisberger told reporters.

Safety Ryan Clark echoed his quarterback's views, describing his side's defensive performance as "embarrassing".

"It's embarrassing for our organization to give up points like that. [Brady] is the most accomplished quarterback of our era. Tom Brady played like Tom Brady," Clark added.

Roethlisberger threw for 400 yards and four touchdowns during the match but the Steelers were unable to keep up with the rampant Patriots.
