The NFL is to examine the footing of Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin after he almost collided with Jacoby Jones during a play when the Steelers met the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night.
Replays showed Tomlin standing with his back to the game as he watched proceedings on the big screen, before turning around almost into the path of Jones who was seeking to latch on to a 73-yard return.
Tomlin managed to evade Jones just in time, though the Ravens player later admitted that the incident had put him off his stride.
No action was taken at the time, although it has now emerged that the League is looking to investigate what happened during the game.
The Steelers came out 22-20 losers on the night, leaving Tomlin's men with a record of 5-7.
