Hall of Fame quarterback Bradshaw says Wembley game is "disrespectful"

Pittsburgh Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw admits that he isn't a fan of the UK-based NFL matches and says "the players don't care and don't want to go".

Hall of Fame quarterback and Fox Sports analyst Terry Bradshaw has blasted the NFL 'international series' which sees some regular season matches played in London at Wembley Stadium.

The former Pittsburgh Steeler and two-time Super Bowl MVP mocked the idea of the match, suggesting that the NFL would be better off trying to promote the game during pre-season rather than having an impact on the regular season calendar.

Bradshaw told New York-based sports radio station WFAN: "I think it's the most disrespectful thing you can do to these teams, to make them travel over to London to promote our NFL product.

"You're not ever going to have a team relocate over there. If you're going to do anything, go to Canada every year - maybe somebody will move up there eventually. But I don't get it.

"Nobody cares anything about the game. The players don't want to go. You can't enjoy it. Now pre-season, OK, have some fun. It's regular season, so I don't get it. I never will. It's all about money, buddy."

The Minnesota Vikings and the Pittsburgh Steelers will do battle in the English capital on Sunday, with the San Francisco 49ers and the Jacksonville Jaguars travelling for their encounter next month.
