Earl Wolff happy to be eased into NFL

Earl Wolff is pleased with his development under coach Chip Kelly.

Philadelphia Eagles rookie safety Earl Wolff has admitted that head coach Chip Kelly is taking the right approach by easing him into the team.

Wolff is tipped to be given his first start in Sunday's clash against the Denver Broncos, and Wolff is looking forward to facing none other than Peyton Manning.

"I like the way Coach Kelly has been doing that for me," Wolff told ESPN. "I know it's for the better, him not just throwing me into the fire.

"I'm competitive. [Manning]'s a quarterback. I'm a DB. I want to compete on every play. I'm just going to go out and make the plays I can make."

Wolff was picked in the third round overall by the Eagles.
