No date set for Riley Cooper return

Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly refuses to set a date for when suspended wide receiver Riley Cooper will be allowed to rejoin the squad.

The Philadelphia Eagles have not set a date for when controversial wide receiver Riley Cooper will be allowed to rejoin the squad.

Cooper was suspended from all team duties after a video emerged of him allegedly using a racial slur to describe a bouncer who refused him entry into a music concert.

The 25-year-old, who has been subject to threatening messages on social network site Twitter since the video was made public, is currently undergoing counselling, and coach Chip Kelly was not prepared to set a date for his return.

"When we do [set a date], we'll make sure we announce it so it's not going to be a surprise to anybody," he told reporters.

Cooper's actions have reportedly angered several of his teammates and there have been concerns over whether he will be able to reintegrate into the squad.
