Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie has admitted that the style of linebacker Khalil Mack reminds him a lot of Clay Matthews.
McKenzie was with the Green Bay Packers when they selected Matthews in the 2009 Draft, and the 27-year-old has gone on to become one of the most dominant defenders in the NFL.
The Raiders GM sees a lot of similarities in their style of play on the edge of the line.
McKenzie told reporters: "He's reminded me of Clay Matthews from day one. He's one of those guys that knows how to set the edge, and he has length and power and some tools to rush the passer. He's got that first step, he can bend, he's relentless.
"That's what Clay was, you don't have tell him to go sic 'em'. He just innately does that. Khalil is that same way."
Oakland selected Mack with the fifth overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
