NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is confident that the popularity of the league will continue to grow in the future.
Goodell has proposed several changes to the game in recent months, including alterations to the extra point after a touchdown and increasing the amount of teams that could compete in the playoffs.
He wrote on Twitter: "We have a bright future due to strength and quality of the game, players, coaches and fan interest. We always have our challenges but we are excited to meet and exceed them."
The 55-year-old was appointed as commissioner in the 2006 season.
