Former Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone is poised to interview for the vacancy at the New York Jets, according to a report.
Marrone opted out of his contract with the Bills after guiding the club to a 9-7 record in his second season with the franchise.
The 50-year-old is now the prime candidate to replace Rex Ryan at MetLife Stadium and join his former club's AFC East rivals, reports NFL Network.
The Jets have also apparently interviewed Seattle Seahawks' assistants Tom Cable and Dan Quinn.
