Rex Ryan "not shell-shocked" by loss

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan insists that he is "not shell-shocked" despite seeing his team dominate play in the loss to the New England Patriots.

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan has revealed that he is "not shell-shocked" after his team's 27-25 loss to the New England Patriots on Thursday night.

The Jets ran the ball for 218 yards and outgained the Patriots by 100 yards, but they were unable to avoid a sixth consecutive defeat.

"I'm not shell-shocked at all, I'm a little upset because our record is what it is," Ryan told the media.

"We were able to control the football, ran the football, did those things that it takes to win the game, then we just made too many darn mistakes. That's what it is. But shell-shocked? I'm not shell-shocked, by any stretch."

New York fell to 1-6 for the season despite Ryan's claims that the team doesn't deserve to be at the bottom of the AFC East.
