New York Jets star Brandon Marshall faces a challenge for the number 15 jersey with his new team from teammate Saalim Hakim.
The back-up Jets receiver issued the challenge to Marshall on his Instagram page as he looks to protect his number from the new arrival, but later deleted the post.
"So Brandon Marshall is trying to get my number," he wrote, according to The Star-Ledger.
"I told him: If he beats me in the 40-yard dash, he can get the number. But if I beat him, he's got to give me $25,000, and he can have the number."
The 25-year-old is a former undrafted free agent with 13 career kick returns and no receptions, while Marshall is a five-time Pro Bowler and former first-team All Pro.
