New York Jets running back Chris Ivory says that he will be held accountable by the team's fans.

Chris Ivory has said that he hopes to give the New York Jets fans "something great to watch" during the 2013 NFL season.

The running back joined the AFC East side last week after the team agreed a trade with the New Orleans Saints.

The 25-year-old told the Jets' official website: "I understand you guys hold people accountable, and I'm definitely going to hold myself accountable.

"I want to give the fans something great to watch when they come out every Sunday and I am looking forward to having a great season.

"I would say I like to get vertical. Not too may cuts, just one or two moves and [I] want to get straight up the field. I'm real physical and that's something I think I can bring to the game is my physicality."

Ivory played just six games for the Saints in 2012, but had 217 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
