Drew Brees has described the New York Jets' defense as "very talented" ahead of the New Orleans Saints' game against the AFC East side this weekend.
The Jets have made 526 tackles, 25 sacks, nine forced fumbles and three interceptions in their first eight games of the season.
The Saints quarterback told reporters: "I look at them as very talented. They are doing a great job at stopping the run. They're doing a great job of getting pressure on the quarterback.
"I've got a lot of respect for [head coach] Rex Ryan and his scheme and the guys that he's built around that scheme. There's a lot of playmakers on that defense.
"I think year in and year out consistently they've been one the best defenses in this league."
The Saints top the NFC South with a 6-1 record, while the Jets are second in their division.
