Report: Hakeem Nicks to consider one-year deals

New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is ready to consider a one-year deal at NFL teams who want him during free agency, according to a report.

New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks will consider accepting a one-year deal during free agency, according to a report.

Giants general manager Jerry Reese revealed that the 26-year-old would hit the free-agent market, as the club would allow him to leave when his deal expires next week.

However, after a below-par 2013 campaign, Nicks is ready to accept a one-year contract in the hope of a better season to earn a long-term deal for 2015, reports ESPN.

Nicks recorded 56 receptions for 896 yards during the 2013 season, but failed to a score a touchdown.
