Report: New York Giants trade for Carolina Panthers linebacker Jon Beason

The New York Giants reportedly seal a trade move for Carolina Panthers linebacker Jon Beason for a late round pick in the 2014 Draft.

The New York Giants have completed a trade to sign Carolina Panthers linebacker Jon Beason, according to a report.

The 28-year-old has struggled with injuries for the past two seasons and has played only five games out of a possible 32.

However, the Giants moved to bring in an experienced player to shore up their defense after their winless start to the season by sending a late round 2014 Draft pick to the Panthers for his services, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

The Panthers are 1-2 in their season going into week five.
