Report: Andre Brown to miss six weeks with broken leg

New York Giants running back Andre Brown will reportedly be out until mid-October after fracturing his left leg in pre-season against the New England Patriots.

New York Giants running back Andre Brown could be out for up to six weeks with a broken leg, according to reports.

Brown sustained the injury in the Giants' final pre-season game against the New England Patriots, as he fractured his left leg in a collision with Adrian Wilson.

Reports suggest that the veteran back will be forced to miss at least the opening month of the season, with a likely return date of mid-October.

The Giants will open their regular season campaign against the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday.
