Terrell Thomas will remain with the New York Giants in 2013, despite missing the last two seasons with knee injuries.

The New York Giants have confirmed that Terrell Thomas will be part of the team for the 2013 season.

The cornerback has missed the last two seasons with anterior cruciate ligament tears, having been a regular starter for the Giants during 2009 and 2010.

The 28-year-old said in a statement: "I'm blessed and happy to have another opportunity to play football, especially with such a loyal organisation, the one I started my career with.

"For them to give me another opportunity to prove myself, I feel very blessed."

During the 2010 season, Thomas recorded 81 tackles, five interceptions and a sack for the Giants.
