Tom Coughlin "disappointed" by winless start

New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin admits that he is "disappointed" and "frustrated" by his side's winless start to the new NFL season.

New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin has admitted that his side's winless start to the season has left him feeling "disappointed" and "frustrated".

The Giants fell to 0-2 for the season courtesy of a 41-23 defeat at the hands of the Denver Broncos last night, with quarterback Eli Manning throwing just one touchdown pass and being intercepted four times.

Coughlin pointed to the Giants' 2007 season when they also began with back-to-back defeats before going on to win the Super Bowl as proof that they can still bounce back from their poor start.

"It's very disappointing, frustrating. The whole point is we have to hang in there," Coughlin told The AP.

"We have 14 games to go. We have been 0-2 before. We dug ourselves into a hole before and been able to fight our way out of it. When we did it was with team, but the performance level has to come up."

Yesterday's match was the third time that the Manning brothers have come up against each other in the NFL, with Peyton maintaining his 100% record over his younger sibling Eli.
