Mark Ingram hopeful of New Orleans Saints return

New Orleans Saints star Mark Ingram wants to return to the franchise next season and hopes that he will agree on a new deal.

New Orleans Saints star Mark Ingram is hopeful that he will sign a new deal with the franchise and return for next season.

Ingram is a free agent this off-season but he believes that the interest in him staying is mutual and he hopes to start talks.

"I'm looking forward to getting a new deal. Hopefully I'm with the Saints, man. They drafted me and I'd love to be with New Orleans for my career," he told Around the NFL.

"They said they want me back."

Ingram had 964 yards on the ground on 226 attempts and nine touchdowns this season, but he revealed that he hasn't spoken to the team since their season ended.
