The New Orleans Saints have been rocked by the news that both defensive end Kenyon Coleman and receiver Joe Morgan are likely to miss the entire 2013 NFL season.
Coleman suffered a pectoral tear and is due for surgery on Thursday, while Morgan is set for an operation on a torn meniscus and partial ACL tear today.
Saints coach Sean Payton admitted that losing the duo was a blow to his side, but challenged others to step up and fill the gaps left by them.
"Obviously, they are losses, and we've got to find some guys that can step up and take their spot," Payton told reporters.
The Saints will kick off their new season against the Atlanta Falcons on September 8.
