New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis has revealed that he is determined to get tight end Jimmy Graham signed to a long-term deal at the club.
Graham's rookie contract will run out at the end of the league year, leaving the club with the choice to sign him to a new deal or place the franchise tag on him.
However, the 27-year-old's camp believe that he should be franchised as a wide receiver, which has a significantly higher value for the one-year contract than he would if he was paid as a tight end.
Loomis told reporters: "I don't know what the process for that is. And I'm not really worried about it. I'm more worried about developing and coming to terms on a long-term contract."
Graham had 86 receptions for 1,216 yards along with 16 touchdowns in the 2013 season.
