New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram wants to become the best back in the history of the NFL despite a disappointing start to his career in the league.

New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram has revealed that he wants to become the best back in the history of the NFL.

The 24-year-old has struggled for form since being drafted by the club in the first round of the 2011 Draft, but is determined to improve in a contract season with the Saints.

"The sky's the limit, man. I want to be the best back to ever play the freakin' game of football," Ingram told reporters.

"I just want to do everything I can to be the best player I can be to help us win games and win a championship. That's my number one goal."

Ingram ran for 386 yards and one touchdown in the 2013 campaign.
